Dry Fire Training

Dry Fire Training is done using your gun or a substitute and training without any rounds or live fire.

It is just as important as going to the range, and you can do it without spending money on all that expensive ammo!

From working on your aim and accuracy in the comfort of your own home, to stress testing your decision making under pressure, dry fire training can do it all.

The best shooters and tactical teams all use dry fire training to improve their skills.

Here at Tactical Firearms Training, we use dry fire for a lot of different things

  • Provide a low-stress environment for new shooters to learn safely

  • Learn how to draw from holster and respond to a threat

  • Practice how to move and shoot, clearing rooms or other areas

  • Stress test you in a real scenarios using airsoft against an attacker

  • Practice these skills and more in a safe environment before taking them to the range

Dry Fire Training Courses

Pistol 101

$99 - 4hr session

This course is designed for beginner to intermediate shooters. Done in the studio with laser rounds, you will learn the basics of owning and operating a firearm. It will cover the law around owning a gun, safe storage practices, rage safety instruction and drills, and instruction on good practices for precision shooting. It does include a certificate to apply for your Concealed Carry Permit (until the laws change on 7/1/2025).

  • Just you! But if you have a pistol cambered in 9mm or 45 please bring it along. We have the laser rounds and encourage you to train with your own gun. NO AMMO ALLOWED in the studio.

Firearm Safety and Gun Education Seminar

Open to the Public - 90min event

Once a year we host a seminar on gun safety and education. It is free and open to the public. We hold this event as an opportunity to teach people about firearms, firearm safety, and the law. We believe that proper education on firearms is the best was to preserve our rights and the 2nd amendment.

  • Just you! Please DO NOT bring in your firearms, ammo, or anything else. We will provide all the training tools.

Inside the Home Defense

$99 – 4hr session

This course is designed for shooters of all skill levels.

Done in the studio with lasers and airsoft, you will learn the law around defending your home, how to set up tactical traps, how to use cover and concealment, and how to push and clear rooms to get to loved ones.

You will be put through multiple airsoft shooting scenarios to stress test your abilities to make decisions and adhere to the law when defending your home.

  • We recommend bringing a pistol cambered in 9mm or 45. If you don’t have one, you can borrow one. We have the laser rounds and encourage you to train with your own gun. NO AMMO ALLOWED in the studio.

Outside the Home Defense

$99 – 4hr session

This course is designed for beginner to advanced shooters. You should have at least been to a range and fired a gun before taking this class.

Done in the studio with lasers and airsoft, we will cover the law on firearms outside the home and lawful concealed carry, we will train on how to draw from a holster safely and quickly, communicate with a gun drawn, and train on shoot/don’t shoot scenarios.

You will be put through multiple airsoft shooting scenarios to test your ability to access and draw your weapon, test your ability to make a decision to shoot or not, and to see how well you adhere to the law.

  • We recommend bringing a pistol cambered in 9mm or 45 and a holster to match. If you don’t have a pistol or holster, you can borrow one, but we really encourage you to train with your own equipment. NO AMMO ALLOWED in the studio.

Force on Force

$99 - 4hr session

What happens if a bad guy has a gun?

With our background in martial arts, we have created a very special seminar on how to handle armed criminals. Because they are breaking the law, criminals will have the drop on you. With this seminar, we use our martial arts techniques to show you how to redirect their attack/weapon and get to our gun, and retain it if they grab it. You won’t find a class like this one anywhere else!

  • We recommend bringing a pistol cambered in 9mm or 45 and a holster to match. We also recommend some training in accessing and drawing from holster. If you don’t have a pistol or holster, you can borrow one, but we really encourage you to train with your own equipment. NO AMMO ALLOWED in the studio.
