A lot of people go the the range and fire rounds, but are they improving?

Our live fire training courses are designed to make sure you are making progress with every round you fire.

I’ve done it, and I see it all the time, where people go to the range and just pop off rounds without a purpose. They learn nothing and probably wonder why they aren’t making progress. Those people rarely make it past hitting a silhouette at 7 yards, and I would hope they keep their gun holstered around others because they will be hitting civilians in a crisis. If you are hitting civilians in an active shooter, you’re not helping, you just became a second active shooter.

That’s why we train.

Every time we go the the range we run drills to improve different skills and shooting habits. We constantly challenge ourselves to grow and improve. It may feel good to hit 20 out of 20 shots on a target, but if that’s the case, you need to move the target further away or use a smaller target.

Our courses are designed to give you the skills and the drills required to improve. From accuracy and good shooting mechanics, to quickening your shots, using point shooting or defensive shooting, acquiring a target faster, drawing from holster, and plenty more; our courses will show you the skills and drills to continuously improve with every round you fire.

It helps all of us when you’re well trained.

Live Fire Training Courses

Concealed Carry (CCW)

$99 – 4hr session or $149 — 8hr session

During this course you will learn the law around self defense and legally carrying a firearm in Colorado. You will also learn about the laws regarding safe storage and can ask any questions pertaining to gun laws in Colorado. You will learn and be tested on firearm safety and will be challenged on live fire drills appropriate to your skill level. Upon completion of this class, you will receive a certificate to apply for your Concealed Carry Permit.

  • We run 2 versions of our Concealed Carry courses. A 4hr condensed version for people who know shooting mechanics and range safety already, and an 8hr version that starts off with our Pistol 101 course material and continues to the CCW shooting course. After 7/1/2025 we will only offer the 8hr version as that length will be required by law.

  • No. The live fire drills are to challenge you and give you drills to practice on your own to improve your shooting skills. All you need to pass the class is to demonstrate firearm safety on the shooting range. Follow the 4 rules and you’ll be fine!

  • We recommend bringing a pistol and 150 rounds of ammunition to match. If you don’t have a gun, you can borrow one, but you will need 150 rounds of 9mm ammo. There is NO AMMO ALLOWED in the classrooms, so please make sure your gun and mags are unloaded.

Range Days

$20-$50 — 4hr sessions

Once you have done a course with us and have shown that you have good range safety, we invite our students to different ranges around Denver, Broomfield, Fort Collins, and our other service areas.

During Range Days you will have trained instructors giving you drills and feedback on your shotting positions, habits, and form. This is so that we can give you the tools and feedback for you to train on your own. This is a service that private clients will pay hundreds of dollars for, but is easily accessed by students that take our courses!

  • We will bring targets and have drills prepared. You will need to pay range fees and bring your guns and ammo for whatever the training is for that day.

Inside the Home Defense (Live Fire)

$149 – 8hr session

This course is for people that have taken a pistol course before or have competency with a firearm and firearm safety.

This course will focus on the law around defending your home (castle doctrine), as well as point shooting (aka defensive shooting), and on how to shoot around a barrier(range permitting).

From how the law benefits you inside your own home, to common sense practices, how to handle contacting the police during a break-in, and even setting up your home for defense; this course covers everything you need to know about defending your home before, during, and after a break-in!

  • You need a pistol, a matching holster, and 150 rounds of ammunition. We do not let you borrow a gun for this course. There is NO AMMO ALLOWED in the classrooms, so please make sure your gun and mags are unloaded.

Outside the Home Defense (Live Fire)

$149 – 8hr session

This course is for people that have taken a pistol courses before, have competency with a firearm and firearm safety, and have been to the range at least a few times. More than anything, you need to have good trigger discipline as this course is dedicated to drawing from a holster.

During this course you will learn how to safely and quickly draw your gun from a holster and start getting rounds on target. You will be challenged at the range by having to switch from precision shooting (using your sights) to point shooting, aka defensive shooting, where you don’t use your sights.

  • We recommend bringing a pistol and 150 rounds of ammunition to match. If you don’t have a gun, you can borrow one, but you will need 150 rounds of 9mm ammo. There is NO AMMO ALLOWED in the classrooms, so please make sure your gun and mags are unloaded.

Action Bays

$20-$50 — 4hr sessions

Once you have completed an Inside the Home course or an Outside the Home course with us (either live fire or dry fire), you are invited to join us for our Action Bay days!

Action Bays are 3 walled shooting ranges that allow us to fire in a 90 degree arc. We set up a variety of targets (usually no less than 10), and practice moving, shooting, drawing from holster, shooting from cover, switching targets, making decisions to shoot, and so much more.

The training we do at Action Bays is something that less than 1% of shooters ever get to do, and is some of the most fun you’ll ever have at a range!

  • We will bring targets, set up the range, and have drills prepared. You will need to pay range fees and bring your guns and ammo for whatever the training is for that day.
